Energy Efficiency Educational Space “EE-Study Space”
During the press tour, journalists met with the city and regional leadership, got acquainted with technical information, and personally visited facilities where energy efficiency and energy saving programs have been successfully implemented.
The participants visited two thermally modernized facilities: Zhytomyr Children’s Educational Institution No. 6 (thermal renovation within the framework of the project “Improving Energy Efficiency of Budgetary Sector Facilities of the City of Zhytomyr” with financial support from the Northern Environmental Finance Corporation NEFCO and the Eastern European Partnership for Energy Efficiency and Environment Fund E5R) and the Vulyk-21 Residential Building of the Residential Complex (thermal modernization within the framework of the Energodim program of the State Enterprise “Energy Efficiency Fund”).
After the visit to the facilities, journalists were invited to familiarize themselves with presentations from the Zhytomyr City Council. Svitlana Olshanska, First Deputy Mayor for the Activities of the Council’s Executive Bodies, gave a general presentation of the city and its energy policy. Projects in the field of energy efficiency and climate change implemented in Zhytomyr were presented by Roman Ilyk, KP “Zhytomyrvodokanal” and Dmytro Rogozhyn, KP “Zhytomyrteplokomunenergo” of ZhMR. The moderator was Borys Pakholiuk, Director of the KU “City Development Agency” of ZhMR.
The final part of the press tour was a press conference, at which journalists spoke with the local community and learned how they assessed the results of implementing energy efficiency measures in the city of Zhytomyr.
